Sourced from multi-generation, family-run sustainable sea sponge farms in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, Greece and Philippines, our 7 inch Yellow Sea Sponge is a popular accompaniment to our all natural soaps because they offer very gentle exfoliation and generous lather. 
One of the many benefits of using natural sea sponges for bathing and washing is that they contain enzymes that make them naturally antibacterial, and inhibit the growth of bacteria, mildew and mold. They are naturally hypo-allergenic and toxin free.
Directions: Soak sponge with warm water, rub onto soap and lather up! After use, rinse well and squeeze gently (NEVER wring-dry).  Store on shelf in bath or hang on hook to dry. 
Cleaning: After a couple months, if your sponge needs refreshing, soak in a bowl of water and a tablespoon of baking soda for 2 plus hours. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
 
Never use those plastic “poofs” again!  Not only can they harbor bacteria after months of use, but they are not biodegradeable and cannot be recycled, so they sit in landfills.
